Hello friends! Spellbinders’ Yana’s Amaryllis Die Set from the Amaryllis Christmas Collection is a ‘MUST SEE’! This beautifully detailed floral die set features a classic Christmas bloom, the amaryllis. The paper pieced flowers are set on pretty hot foiled backgrounds.
The amaryllis die was used to black cardstock for the pink bloom and gold for the red one. The petals were discarded.
This die was was also used to cut both pink and red card stock. The outline die cuts were discarded. A touch of colour was added to the base of the petals with a detail blending brush. On the pink amaryllis, Distress Oxide Picked Raspberry was added to the base and white pigment ink to the tips. Villainous Potion was applied to the red amaryllis.
The second die which cuts a shadow of the flower was used to bothe gold cardstock for the pink flower and black for the red one.
The outlines of the amaryllis were adhered to the shadow die cuts and the petals
were inlaid.
.The backgrounds were hot foiled with the Crossed Lines Card Front plate. For the red bloom, gold card stock was foiled with Black Glimmer Hot Foil Roll. The background for the pink amaryllis was foiled with Pink Glimmer Hot Foil Roll on black cardstock.
The centres of the panels and black sheet foam were cut with a die from the Essential Diamonds. The panels and foam were trimmed to 4” by 5 1/4” and stacked before adhering them to A2 sized, black card bases. For the pink card, pink foil cardstock was adhered to the card base.
The flowers were adhered positioned partially over the diamond die cut opening.
The sentiments from Home for Christmas Sentiments were pressed with black ink on the pink and red card stock that was blended with Picked Raspberry on one and Villainous Potion on the other. They were cut with the coordinating dies and stacked on foam die cuts.
