Spellbinders’ Beads of Friendship Collection

Spellbinders’ Beads of Friendship Collection is so much fun to create with. I have two cards featuring Bestie Beaded Bracelet, Bestie Alphabet Beads Press Plate and Die Set

and Bestie Sentiments Press Plate and Die Set. These sweet friendship bracelets can be customized with a name, word or occasion making these products very versatile. I have used them to create birthday and Christmas cards … SO MUCH FUN!

  • White cardstock, 4” by 5 1/4”, was stencilled with the two piece layering stencil set included in Baubles & Festive Background Stencil Set. I used the stencils separately stencilling one per panel with Mint Choc Fresh Die Ink.

  • The intersecting points on the design were embellished with Nuvo Crystal Drops Simply White and left to dry for several hours before the panels were adhered to A2 sized black card bases.

  • Bestie Beaded Bracelet die set comes with kinds of bracelet bases. For each card, the circle base was cut three times from various colours of cardstock. The other two bases were cut one time each for both cards.

  • This die set also includes clasps, jump rings and eight different bead shapes. The clasps and jump rings were cut from gold foil cardstock. The beads were cut from the same colours of cardstock used for the bases. The die for each style of bead cuts multiples. I used a tray to keep the style and colours of each bead separate.

  • The alphabet from the Bestie Alphabet Beads Press Plate and Die Set was letterpressed with black ink on cream coloured card stock. The coordinating die was used to cut the beads. The alphabet stamps multiples of letters concentrating on the ones that used most often. I pulled the letters to spell ‘love’, ‘Merry Christmas’ and ‘Happy Birthday’.

  • The bar and and brackets from Propagation Garden Frames were cut from gold foil cardstock.

  • A Jewel Picker makes the placement of the beads on the bracelet bases easy. The letter beads separated with gold foil spacers were adhered to the bracelets first. The ‘beading was then completed with a pattern of coloured beads. The flower beads were finished off with gold centres. The extended bracelets were completed with the gold foil clasps and jump rings.

  • The three circle bracelets were adhered overlapping onto the gold bar. The brackets were attached to either end and the bar was stacked on a black foam die cut. This ensemble was adhered to the top of the card front. The extended bracelets, one overlaying the other were adhered to the bottom of the card.

  • The sentiments from Bestie Sentiments Press Plate and Die Set were pressed on BetterPress Porcelain A2 Panels with black ink. The sentiments and white foam were cut with the coordinating dies and stacked before adhering them to the card fronts.
