Spellbinders’ Bibi’s Cats & Pugs Collection featuring Big Pug with Video

Hello friends! This project features Spellbinders’ Big Pug from Bibi’s Cats & Pugs Collection. I have two cards; one for a Baby Shower while the second pug is decked out for Christmas using some adorable elements from Cats & Pugs Accessories. This collection is so super cute! Don’t they make you want to pinch those adorable cheeks!

  • The card base was created by scoring a sheet of 8 1/2” by 11” white card stock at 5 1/2” mark on the long side. The sheet was folded and the cutting edge of outline die positioned so the top of the pug’s head would overhang the crease. The panel was cut running it back and forth in the die cutter a couple of times to cut through the two layers of card stock.

  • Portobello Card Stock was also cut with the outline die. The outline of the pug was adhered to the card base.

  • The head and body dies were used to cut both cream card stock and foam. The curved area on the body around the neck was trimmed off of both die cuts. The head and body were stacked on foam.

  • The remainder of the pug details (except the tongue, nose and eyes!) were cut out of Portobello Card Stock.

  • Before assembly, the die cuts were inked with Distress Oxide Inks. Vintage Photo was applied to the cream die cuts and Walnut Stain to the rest.

  • For the Baby Shower card, the accessories included with the Big Pug die set were used.

  • Cats & Pugs Accessories were used to dress up the Christmas pug. Some of the elements were cut from Treasured Cardstock Rose Gold Assortment for some added festive flair!
