Hello friends! Spellbinders' 3D Embossing Folder of the Month, Floral Expressions, is so dreamy and gorgeous! I chose a very soft palette to create this ‘quick & easy’ card. The sweet sentiment is from the Small Die of the Month, Colourful Expressions Sentiments.
The August registration window for this club will be available August 6 for current Club Members. New registrations are accepted on the 10th of August. Registrations can be completed until August 27th or while supplies last.
A white card stock panel measuring 4 1/4“ x 5 1/2“ was embossed with the 3D Embossing Folder of the Month, Floral Expressions.
The panel was coloured quickly and easily with Distress Oxide Ink Cubes. When colouring an intricate design, I find it easier to use the small ink pads to help control where the colour will be applied.
Tattered Rose was applied to the roses. I tried to concentrate the yellow ink, Squeezed Lemonade, on the small flowers. Bundled Sage was applied to the leaves. There was a little bit of crossover of the colours in some areas, but I felt that it just lent itself to that vintage feel.
After the raised portion of the panel was inked, I wanted to soften the colour slightly and so applied pigment white ink over the entire design.
The panel was splattered with a fan brush using Splatter White. I placed some of this medium on a pallet and diluted it slightly with water so that it was loose enough to create a spatter effect.
The panel was adhered to an A2 sized card base.
This sentiment is from the Small Die of the Month. This is a great die set with lots of words that can be configured into many different sentiments. The words are accompanied by shadow dies, which I did not use in this card.
The words were die cut from soft, pink glitter card stock, and white sheet foam. The words were stacked and adhered to the lower third of the card front.
