Hello friends! I love Spellbinder’s Falling Leaves Collection and at the top of my list is the Autumn Rain Press Plate & Stencil Bundle. This negative design press plate makes it easy to create interesting backgrounds whether you like them bold and dramatic or soft and pretty. The layering stencil set allows for quick and easy colouring! And just let me draw your attention to the sweet wax seal stamp, Falling Raindrops. A perfect finishing touch!
Autumn Rain Press Plate was pressed onto BetterPress Porcelain A2 Panels using the BetterPress System. The panels were stamped with BetterPress Ink.
For the dark panel, I used the BetterPress Full Size Black Ink Pad and for the other panel, a gradient was created with Teal Topaz, Cruise and Cosmic Sky from the mini BetterPress Ink Pad Sets.
The umbrellas and leaves were quickly coloured with Fresh Dye Inks using the coordinating stencil set.
Two different colours were alternated when colouring the sections of the umbrella. For each section, a dark tone was applied at the base, finishing off with a lighter tone to provide depth.
For the card above, Citrus Burst/Snapdragon were alternated with a combination of Maple Yellow/Sunray.
The leaves were done in either Snapdragon/Sunray or Blush/Sunray.
The umbrella handles and the spoke at the top were coloured with Evening Grey.
The panel was spattered with a fan brush using Splatter White Opaque Watercolor.
For this card, the alternating sections were coloured with the following combinations; Berry Mocha/Heart Beat and Pink Pearl/Coral Bliss.
The leaves were inked with Mint Chocolate and Pool.
They handles and spokes were coloured with Evening Grey.
Using double-sided tape, ribbon was wrapped around the bottom of each panel before they were adhered to A2 sized card bases.
The sentiments from Colorful Expressions Sentiments include the scripty word and shadow. The shadow was die cut from both card stock and foam and stacked.
Using the Wax Seal Starter Kit, seals were stamped with the Falling Raindrops Wax Seal Stamp. Must-Have wax Bead Mix Coral was used for one seal and for the other, Pistachio Wax Beads. The seals were mounted onto the card fronts using Wax Seal Adhesive Circles.
