Hello everyone! FLOWER POWER! Well I am going for a 60's vibe, minus the hot colours, with Spellbinder's adorable Glimmer of the Month. This is such a cute set that could be transformed for any occasion ... wedding, birthday, congratulations to name a few! Today's card was so much fun to make!
Three styles of flowers from the January's Large Die of Month were die cut from two shades of pink and ivory card stock and randomly adhered to white card stock measuring 4" x 5 1/4". The panel was adhered to a black matted, A2 sized card base.
Using Spellbinders' Hot Foil System, the car and floral spray were foiled in pink on white Neenah Classic Crest 110lb card stock. To achieve even foiling on the car, in addition to plate and shim, two sheets of copy paper were folded in half and added to the sandwich. The accompanying dies were used to cut the images.
The little sentiments included in the set were also foiled in pink; each word on one of the three colours of card stock used for the flower background. The words were cut with the tag die and pink metallic embroidery floss tied to each one.
Small foam squares were placed on the back of the tags. They were positioned on the card and the three threads twisted together. A large foam square was placed on the card where the back of the car would be positioned. The threads were adhered to the foam square and additional foam was placed on the car before it was mounted on the card.
The flowers on the spray were COPIC coloured with RV91 and the leaves with G000. Foam squares were placed on the upper portion of the spray and it was positioned over the car top.
I may have gone a little overboard with the white Nuvo Drops to complete the background!
