Spellbinders’ Happy Haunting Collection … so much spooky fun!

Boo! Autumn is creeping up on us and before you know it, it will be Halloween. How about some spooky fun with Spellbinders?! I love seeing all the costumed kiddos excitedly rushing from house to house collecting goodies. For the ones I know, I like to include a cute card or tag with the treat bag. Needless to say, I am happy to get a head start with Spellbinders’ Happy Haunting Collection!

These cards feature some super cute products; Skully Press Plate Set, Fiona The Dancin’ Witch Die Set, Witchin’ Heels Die Set and Woof-or-Treat Die Set. So much fun to work with!

  • Skully Press Plate Set comes with the image and two sentiments.

  • An A2 sized panel of Bristol Smooth Cardstock was ink blended with Distress Oxide Inks Shaded Lilac, Pumice Stone and Black Soot. I used a fan brush to spatter the panel with water and picked up the droplets with paper toweling.

  • The image and sentiment were letterpressed with black ink on the panel using the BetterPress System. The panel was adhered to a card base.

  • The large frame from Cameo Frames Die Set was cut from black card stock and adhered to the card front. The excess was trimmed off.

  • The pumpkin die from the Woof-or-Treat Die Set was cut three times and adhered to the bottom of the card base with foam squares.

  • To add an eerie glow, Nuvo Glitter Drops White Blizzard was added to the features of both the better pressed and die cut pumpkins.

  • Black iridescent sequins were added to the frame and finished off with Nuvo Crystal Drops Morning Dew.

  • Fiona The Dancin’ Witch is so cute! I did not use the interactive element for this card but I love that there is an option!

  • She was cut from white card stock and Copic coloured. Her clothing was done up with R39, 89 and RV 99. She is easy to assemble with all those cute details.

  • For the background white pigment ink and Distress Oxide Inks Candied Apple and Shaded Lilac were applied in irregular, horizontal bands. It was spattered with Distress Stain Brushed Pewter.

  • The panel was cut with a die from Arch Labels and Tag Die Set. The arch was adhered to an A2 sized, black cardbase.

  • The sentiment from All Seasons Sentiments Autumn Press Plate & Die Set what letter pressed on red card stock with black ink using the BetterPress System.

  • Bristol Smooth Cardstock was sprayed with Distress Stains Rusty Hinge and Hickory Smoke. After the panel was dry, it was splattered with Brushed Pewter using a fan brush.

  • The panel was cut with one of the dies from Mirror Arch Labels Die Set and mounted on an A2 sized, black card base.

  • The witch from Witchin’ Heels Die Set was cut from black card stock and black sheet foam. They were stacked.

  • The witch’s hat and shoes were cut from purple card stock. The pumpkin, orange with a yellow background, was also cut from black foam square and stacked.

  • The witch was adhered to the card front with the pumpkin dangling from her broom.

  • The sentiment from All Seasons Sentiments Autumn Press Plate & Die Set what letter pressed on red card stock with black ink using the BetterPress System.

  • Nuvo Glitter Drops White Blizzard was applied to the hat and the shoes.

  • The card was embellished with Lilac confetti finished off with Nuvo Crystal Drops Morning Dew.

  • The large yellow moon was stencilled with Distress Oxide Inks Fossilized Amber and soft touches of Black Soot added. The moon was masked, and the background was inked with Villainous Potion, Black Soot and Mowed Lawn.

  • The panel was splattered with Distress Stain Brushed Pewter using a fan brush.

  • Three sets of pooch ghosts were cut using the Woof-or-Treat Die Set. The die cuts were coloured with Copic markers except for the ghost sheet that was shaded with Shaded Lilac.

  • Two of the pooch ghosts were adhered directly to the card front and the one in the middle was popped up with foam squares.

  • Three wispy ghosts were added to the sky using a small blending brush and white pigment ink. The blending brush was placed onto the panel and then pulled out lessening the pressure. Eyes were at with a black gel pen.
