Hello friends! Top Notch Birthday Cling Rubber Stamp Set is from the House-Mouse Creative Day Collection. Meet Muzzy who has figured out how she can clamber the height needed to blow out those birthday candles! This little scene is so adorable. I am a big fan of Spellbinders’ House Mouse Collections! I love all of their sweet depictions of every day life … heartwarming.
Top Notch Birthday Stamp Set is made up of one large stamp for the scene and three supporting sentiments.
Cling rubber stamps are thicker. If you use a stamping platform, you may have to remove the insert depending on which one you use. These stamps can also be used with acrylic blocks.
I like to use a stamping platform so that if I need to stamp it twice to get a crisp image, I can do so without worrying about alignment issues. The scene was stamped with black Versafine ink on watercolour paper and then embossed with clear embossing powder.
A colour wash background was created with tones of pink, blue, green, and yellow using Mijello Mission Gold watercolour paints. The panel was set aside to dry completely before painting the images.
The panel was spattered with white opaque paint and then trimmed down to 4” x 5 1/4”.
The sentiment was stamped below the scene and the panel adhered to an A2 sized black, card base.
Nuvo Dream Drops in pink and teal green were used to add some further detail to the cake and the party hat.
