Writer's picture: Bonnie CraneBonnie Crane

Hello friends! Oh my goodness! Justine’s Farm Collection by Spellbinders is the sweetest! I am happy to introduce you to Clover, Daisy and Cotton Ball! Guess which name goes with each of these adorable farm animals. Check out the links to see if you’re correct! These images were created with BetterPress plates and are water coloured very simply.

  • Clover, Daisy, Cotton Ball and the sentiments were pressed using Full Size Black BetterPress Ink Pad and the BetterPress System on watercolour paper. These images are so sweet!

  • I used Mijello Mission Gold Watercolours to paint the images but, of course, and brand were work well. Because there are letterpressed details add in shading, the painting is very simple and straight forward.

  • To create the card front, the plank die included in the Cut Above the Rest was used to cut cardstock. The panel was cut 6 times for each card. The plank die cut is textured. To emphasize the wood grain, Distress Oxide ink was applied on the plank and around the edges.

  • For Clover, grey card stock was used with Black Soot ink. Daisy’s background was created brown cardstock and a combination of Black Soot and Brushed Corduroy inks. Finally, for Cotton Ball, white cardstock was used with Pumice Stone.

  • The planks were adhered to a panel of white card stock size 4 1/4“ x 5 1/2“. Each plank was offset from the other.

  • I used one of the scalloped dies included in the Classic Scalloped Circles die set. I couldn’t find this sat in the shop so here is a link to the Scallop Journal Cards Die Set that is a good substitute. The plank covered card fronts were cut with the scallop die leaving room for the sentiment below it.

  • The water coloured images, were it here directly to the card base and the plank covered card front positioned over top at hearing them with foam strips.

  • The sentiments were also popped up with foam squares and adhered below the scalloped circle.

  • Additional florals were added using More Fresh Picked Vase.
