Spellbinders’ Mosaic Bracket Card Builder….three ways!

Hello everyone! I am loving the 'CARD BUILDER' die sets from Spellbinders. Talk about making quick and easy cards that can be customized to reflect your style! The set I used for today's cards is the MOSAIC BRACKET CARD BUILDER . It includes the trellis, a two piece bracket maker for maximum flexibility(!!!), the big, scripty sentiment and accompanying shadow dies. I made Christmas cards featuring three modifications on how the trellis could be used BUT the trellis/bracket would be perfect for any occasion!

I began by ink smooshing Bristol Smooth card stock with Distress Oxide inks for the first two cards:

  • Mermaid Lagoon, Fade Jeans, Tumbled Glass & a touch of Brushed Pewter Distress Stain

  • Festive Berries, Picked Raspberry, Kitsch Flamingo

The panels were spattered with watered down white gouache. All three cards are A2 sized;

4 1/4" by 5 1/2".

For the blue tone card, the trellis and the sentiment were die cut from both white card stock and foam and stacked. The bracket was adhered and the small hole detail on the trellis was embellished with aqua sequins topped with Nuvo Crystal Drops Morning Dew.

The red and pink card reminds me of Christmas candy! This time the trellis was die cut from card stock and adhered directly to the ink smooshed panel. The bracket die comes in two pieces. the bottom die was used to cut the top of the trellis and sheet foam. The panel was mounted on the foam, the bracket attached and adhered to the card base. The left over ink smooshed card stock was used to die cut the sentiment. The words were stacked on foam die cuts. As with the other card, this one was also embellished with sequins, clear ones this time, and topped with Nuvo Crystal Drops Morning Dew.

The panel for the final card was ink blended using Wilted Violet, Salty Ocean and Tumbled Glass. Two of the trellis die cuts were pieced together to form a complete background. The panel was die cut with a rectangular die. It was mounted on foam before being adhered to blue violet card stock and then the card base. The sentiment was also stacked. SPARKLING MANDALA is a beautiful die set that includes both the detail die and an outline die. The outline die was used to cut holographic card stock and foam. The detail die in combination with the outline die was used to cut white card stock. The stacked mandala was embellished with with lilac sequins topped with Nuvo Crystal Drops Morning Dew.
