Hello everyone! Spellbinders' gorgeous Glimmer of the Month has been done up in two Christmas cards. This glimmer hot foil set has many floral and leafy images that allow for many arrangements. It comes with a sentiment, Celebrate You, but can be easily transformed for any occasion! Love the versatilty! AND I love that these individual images are on one foil plate and cut with one die! Saves so much time!
The plate with all the individual images and sentiment was foiled several times on Neenah Classic Crest 110lb card stock with Aura Glimmer Foil. I wasn't exactly sure how many images I would use but ended up with way more than what was needed ... they are tucked away for more cards!
The coordinating die was used to cut the images.
Red and navy blue card stock were trimmed to 4 1/4" x 5 1/2". One panel was die cut with a rectangular die and the other one with a circle die.
The panels were embossed with Scattered Christmas embossing folder. To ensure that the embossed image was seamless, the die cut circle and rectangle were kept intact with the background while embossing.
The outer portion of the embossed panel was adhered to a black card stock card base that was A2 size. Both the circle and the rectangle die cuts were mounted on foam before being attached to the card.
The foiled images were Copic coloured; the berries and flowers for both cards were coloured with R20 and R39. The leaves on the red background were coloured with BG75 and BG53. On the other card, B37 and B32 were used. Particularly with the dark colours, sometimes there can be marks on the foiling. The colourless blender easily removes this.
The foiled images were adhered to the foam mounted rectangle and circle die cuts with adhesive and foam squares. For the blue card with the wreath, one of the large flourishes on the berry branches was trimmed off.
The sentiments from Glitter Wishes were foiled with Aura on red and blue card stock. The die that comes with the set was used to cut the sentiment strip and foam. They were stacked and adhered to the card.
Nuvo Glitter Drops White Blizzard was applied with a paint brush to all of the berries.
The cards were embellished with a Peach Opalescent Sequins and finished off with Nuvo Crystal Drops Morning Dew.
