Hello friends! I have a pretty card featuring Spellbinders’ Peacock Paradise Collection! I am working with two products; Cameo Frames and the gorgeous Feather Flourish 3D Embossing Folder. The floating sentiment is perfect for an embossed card … the sweet design peeks through the vellum and the foam backing molds nicely over the embossing.
Mint green paper was embossed with Feather Flourish 3D Embossing Folder.
A Mini Blending Tool was used to apply Distress Oxide Ink Peeled Paint on the eye of the feathers.
Peacock Feathers was applied lightly using a blending brush over the feather ends. A bit more pressure was used below the eye to allow the blue to spill out onto the background. Highlights were added to the background with white pigment ink.
The eye of the feather was coloured with a dark blue Copic marker.
A floating sentiment was created by sandwiching two foam die cuts of the Cameo Frames between the vellum shadow die cut. The top foam frame was stacked with a matte gold one cut from paper included in the Treasured Card Stock Gold Assortment.
When creating a floating frame with vellum, I use Tombow adhesive. When it dries it is tacky and repositionable allowing the layers to easily aligned. To see a floating sentiment constructed outlining important tips, check out the fourth card in this video.
The card was embellished with navy blue confetti. Bothe confetti and the eye of the feathers were topped off with Nuvo Glitter Drops White Blizzard.
