Hello friends! Pooh and friends are leaping right out of a story book to bring joy to all the Pooh fans! Spellbinders’ Say Cheese Classic Pooh Collection is as sweet as HONEY! Today’s cards feature two adorable die sets Pooh & Piglet and Tigger & Eeyore.
The foundation for all three cards is the same. I love the delicate scallop on the oval frame dies found in the Stitching Die of the Month . I used the larger of the two found in the set. I also incorporated a book found in the Classic Tales set. The idea of having these storybook characters standing on an open book was very appealing to me. And I hope it appeals to you, too!
All of the ink blended backgrounds were done with Distress Oxide Inks. For the card with Pooh, I began with a panel of pink cardstock cut with the oval die and added in Kitsch Flamingo and Dried Marigold.
The backgrounds for both Tigger and Eeyore were prepared on white cardstock. For Tigger’s background, Old paper, Dried Marigold and Tumbled Glass were used. Mowed Lawn, Tumbled Glass and Peacock Feathers were used on Eeyore’s background.
The backgrounds were adhered to A2 sized cardbases in landscape orientation.
The open book dies from Classic Tales were adhered to the bottom of the ovals. Before the book was adhered to Eeyore’s background, the pages were lined with grassy edging.
The Pooh characters are easily assembled. They were die cut from coloured cardstock and highlighted with white pigment ink.
The characters were adhered with foam squares.
The sentiments from Silly Old Bear Sentiments Press Plates & Dies were pressed onto ink blended cardstock left over from the backgrounds and cut with the coordinating dies.
Nuvo Crystal Drops Simply White was used to embellish the cards.
