Spellbinders’ Seasonal Celebrations with Nichol’s Needlework featuring Faux Embroidered Pumpkin, Tree & Stockings!

Updated: Nov 17

Hello friends! I have three seasonal cards featuring Spellbinders’ Nichol’s Needlework Collection. The embroidery hoop is included in the Gathering Stitches die set. The sweet elements are from Faux Embroidered Pumpkin, Faux Embroidered Spruce and Faux Embroidered Stockings were used in conjunction with the hoop. These die sets are so adorable and fun to work with!

  • So happy Halloween or Autumn! The Faux Embroidered Pumpkin can be used with the witch’s hat or not. The die cuts were adhered to the hoop. The flowers and leaves were cut multiple times.

  • The sentiment is from Everyday Sentiments and was cut from matte gold card stock and foam. It was stacked, adhered below the hoop and framed with flowers.

  • A few smoky crystals were added.

  • The background for the card above was ctreated by pressing the ‘day’ plate from the the Pines Night & Day Press Plates. It was inked with white pigment ink and pressed on to indigo card stock with the the BetterPress Letterpress System.

  • The tree from Faux Embroidered Spruce is made up of two die cuts. The needle base was cut from teal card stock and the trunk/branches from matte silver.

  • The sentiment from the Christmas Greetings Die Set was cut from silver glitter card stock and foam. It was stacked and adhered above and below the hoop.

  • Several stars were also cut from silver glitter card stock and adhered to the treetop and on the background.

  • The tree ornaments from indigo and teal card stock were adhered to silver hangers and the tree decorated. The ornaments were finished off with Nuvo Crystal Drops Morning Dew.

  • The background for the final card was embossed with Classic Backdrop 3D Embossing Folder on plum card stock.

  • The branches and stockings from Faux Embroidered Stockings were cut from several types of metallics found in the Treasured Card Stock Gold Assortment.

  • The branches were also cut from foam to give them dimension on the card so the stockings would hang.

  • The stockings were trimmed with different shades of red and coral card stock and adhered with small foam squares.

  • The red berries were finished off with Nuvo Crystal Drops Morning Dew and the trim on the stockings with Nuvo Glitter Drop White Blizzard.

  • The sentiment from the Christmas Greetings Die Set was cut from matte gold card stock and foam. It was stacked and adhered above and below the hoop.
