Hello friends! Spellbinders’ Shine Bright Collection with its disco ball theme is a super fun blast from the past. These cards have been created with a fabulous set of products; Disco Impressions Press Plates & Die Set, Layered Disco Impressions Stencil Set and Layered Shine Bright Stencil and Die Bundle.
The teal card was created with the two stencil sets; Layered Disco Impressions Stencil Set and Layered Shine Bright Stencil and Die Bundle,
Working on a light teal 4 1/4” x 5 1/2“ panel of card stock, the light rays were stencilled withLayered Shine Bright Stencil using Fresh Dye Inks Mint Choc, Pool, Mystic Lake and Teal Tempest. The bottom right hand corner was blended with the three darker inks.
The stencilling also produces the sentiment that could be left on its own or finished off with the accompanying die cuts. I used the dies and cut the letters from Luxe Glitter Cardstock and sheet foam. The letters were stacked and adhered to the stencilled outlines.
Layered Disco Impressions Stencil Set was used to stencil the three disco balls using the same inks that were used for the background. The balls and foam were cut with the dies found in the Disco Impressions Press Plates & Die Set. The medium ball was not stacked on foam and adhered directly to the card front. The other two were foam backed and overlapping each other.
Nuvo Glitter White Blizzard was applied to the dark teal squares on the balls.
BetterPress Porcelain A2 Panels were pressed with the disco calls from Disco Impressions with Versamark ink using the BetterPress System BetterPress System.
The details on the balls were heat embossed with Snowflake Tinsel Embossing Powder.
Both the balls and Luxe Glitter Cardstock were cut with the coordinating dies.
Indigo cardstock was highlighted where each ball would be positioned with white pigment ink.
The balls were offset on the glitter ones and adhered to the panels.
Using a Quickie Glue Pen, small dots of adhesive were placed on the white glow around each ball and sprinkled with silver glitter.
The sentiment dies from the Layered Shine Bright Stencil and Die Bundle were used to cut both Luxe Glitter Cardstock and foam. Vellum was cut with the shadow die and the stacked letters adhered to it.
