Spellbinders’ Storytelling Collection featuring Over The Rainbow

Updated: 20 hours ago

Hello friends! Spellbinders’ Storytelling Collection Is not only for our scrapbooking friends, card makers can use these gorgeous elements too to create sweet cards. This 5” by 7” card features a few products from this amazing collection. The whimsical Over the Rainbow Die Set, the bold Friends Die Set and Friends Sentiments Press Plate and Die Set come together in a sweet shaker celebrating a ‘bestie’!

  • The shaker element of the card was constructed independently from the card base. The rainbow is one die that cuts three arches. In order to vary the colours, it was used to cut fuchsia, pink and soft, pink glitter card stock. I used scotch tape to hold the three arches together.

  • The foreground, tree background pieces and the path were cut from soft green cart stock and glitter cart stock. The foreground was assembled and the rainbow adhered to it.

  • Acetate was adhered to the back of the foreground/rainbow panel and it was adhered to a blue card stock arch cut with one of the larger dies from the Arch Labels & Tag Die Set.

  • This same die was used to cut a second arch from blue card stock. A smaller die was selected that would fit within the opening of the foreground/rainbow panel. It was used to cut the blue card stock arch and foam.

  • The foam was adhered to the blue arch, ensuring that the die cut openings were aligned. Pastel rainbow confetti was added to this shaker pocket.

  • The rainbow panel was adhered to the shaker pocket panel ensuring the blue arches were aligned. The independent shaker was adhered to the middle of a 5” by 7” card base.
