Hello everyone! The Painter's Garden Collection is absolutely gorgeous as one might expect from designer, Susan Tierney-Cockburn. My first card features Carolina Allspice with its beautiful branches and rich red blooms ... sadly, not a shrub you would find in my northern climate! I will have to satisfied with this pretty paper version.
The card front was created with two panels using Layered Stitched Background. The first and third layer were cut from ivory card stock; the second in soft pink. The two panels together are A2 size and were mounted on pink card stock.
The card front was adhered to an A2 sized card base.
The sentiment from Outlined Sentiments consists of a shadow and script die. The shadow was cut from white foam and ivory card stock. The script from a gradient of COPIC R59 and RV99.
Initially, three branches from Carolina Allspice was cut from white card stock. Two additional branches were created and cut apart to add fullness to some areas after the card was completed.
The woody stem was COPIC coloured with E49 and 27 and the leaves with YG23 and 67.
The leaf mat, small ball tool and reverse tweezers from Susan's Garden Ultimate Tool Kit were used to shape the leaves.
The sentiment and the three branches were adhered to the card.
To create the flowers, the set of three petals was cut twice. For the flower buds, the smallest and middle petal layer were cut twice.
The smallest petal layer was coloured with RV99. The centres of the middle and large petal layers were coloured with RV99 and finished with R59.
The flowers and flower buds were shaped using the foam molding mat, regular tweezers and small ball tool from Susan's Garden Ultimate Tool Kit.
The flowers were adhered with some additional leaves.
The card was embellished with red sequins finished off Nuvo Crystal Drops Morning Dew.
