Hello friends! Poppy Background Press Plate with its coordinating stencil set found in Spellbinders' Yana's Poppies Collection is gorgeous. I love the negative design and feel it lends itself to a vintage vibe ... so I added some fun details to emphasize that groove! Did I mention that these cards are not only pretty, but 'Quick & Easy'. It just doesn't get any better than that!
Poppy Background Press Plate was used to press three BetterPress Porcelain A2 Panels using the BetterPress System. The plate was inked with BetterPress Ink; French Blue, Mulberry and Black.
For quick and easy colouring, I used the stencil set found in the Poppy Background Press Plate and Stencil Bundle. All of the panels were stencilled with Fresh Dye Inks applied with small blending brushes.
For the Mulberry panel, the poppies were done up in Strawberry, Dusty Pink, Blush Rose and Raspberry Sunset. The leaves and stems were inked with Silver Sage and Jade and the flower centres in black.
For the French Blue panel, the poppies were done up in Pink Crystal, Mauve, Berrylicious and Acai Berry. The leaves and stems were inked with Evening Grey and Moon Rock and the flower centres in black.
The poppies on the black panel were stencilled with Sunray, Chamomile, Snapdragon and Terracotta. The leaves and stems were inked with Jade and Eucalyptus and the flower centres in black.
The panels were trimmed to 4" by 5 1/4" and spattered with Distress Stain Tarnished Brass.
The edges of the panel were inked with Versamark and gold embossing powder applied. The powder was melted with a heat tool.
The panels were adhered to A2 sized, black card bases.
The sentiments from Fresh Picked Sentiments were cut from both matte gold card stock from Treasured Cardstock Gold and black sheet foam. The sentiments were stacked and adhered to the lower right hand corner of the card front.
