Hello friends! I have a couple of cards featuring Spellbinders’ Layered Iris on letterpressed backgrounds created with Spotlight Circle Duo Press Plates. The letterpressed circle designs provide a pretty backdrop for those sweet irises.
Layered Iris was cut three times and coloured in various shades of pink and reds using inks from Red Sunset Fresh Dye Inks and Rose Petal Fresh Dye Inks. The greenery was inked with Nature’s Wonders Fresh Dye Inks. I used the SlimGrip Sticky Mat and Micro Blending Brush Set to work with these small die cuts. The flowers were assembled.
Spotlight Circle Duo Press Plates comes with two circle designs. The plates were pressed with Versamark ink on A2 sized panels of Lunar Gray Card Stock and Mahogany Card Stock using the BetterPress Letterpress System . One was embossed in gold and the other in blue.
The sentiments from Fresh Picked Sentiments were cut from both card stock and foam. They were embossed in either gold or blue to coordinate with the circle backdrops. The sentiments were stacked.
The letterpressed panels were adhered to black A2 sized card bases.
The flowers were mounted on the card fronts with a combination of foam squares and liquid adhesive.
The cards were completed with the sentiments and half pearls.
