Hello everyone! I adore Autumn and am featuring the colourful splendour I find in my garden in Alex Syberia Design’s Bouquet of Hope. The warm colours are a juxtaposition to the cooling temperatures as we progress to Winter. Alex Syberia Design’s gorgeous image, Bouquet of Hope, displays the rich colours of this season beautifully.
This digital image was printed on Canson XL water colour paper. Mission Gold Water Colours were used to paint it:
Leaves - Olive Green, Yellow Ochre, Peacock Blue, Cobalt Blue
Flowers - Light Red, Burnt Sienna, Yellow Ochre
Flower Sprays - Yellow Ochre
Stems & Small Leaves - Van Dyke Green, Peacock Blue
Background - Yellow Ochre
A crosshatch texture was applied with a fan brush and Burnt Sienna Gouache. The highlights on the leaves were accented with White Gouache . The White Gouache was watered down to apply a spatter.
The panel was die cut with a stitched rectangle die and then adhered to foam and matte gold card stock slightly larger than the panel. It was mounted on an A2 sized card base. The sentiment was cut from both pearl gold card stock and foam and stacked. The centres of the little flowers in the two floral sprays were dotted with black Nuvo Drop. Accents of Ripened Pumpkin and English Mustard Nuvo Drops were applied around the image. Gold confetti topped off with Nuvo Crystal Drops Morning Dew finishes the card.
