What Kind of Pie Would You like? Easy Spinner featuring Spellbinders’ Serve A Slice

Hello everyone! I have a cute spinner card featuring Spellbinders' Serve A Slice nestled in a background of Delicious Decorations. No specialty dies required for this interactive card … so much fun to make and easy as PIE! Serve A Slice is perfect for this interactive element!

I began by cutting and colouring all of the die cuts. A blender brush made this a quick job! The pie crusts were coated wth Nuvo Crystal Glaze and sprinkled with chunky, clear glitter. Two circles were cut; 3 1/2” and 1“ diameters. The large circle was divided into thirds and inked. Two panels were cut to card front size; 4” by 5 1/4”. One panel was die cut with the pie filling die.

To construct the spinner mechanism, the centre of both circles were pierced. The small circle was placed on a brad followed by the large circle. Small foam squares were adhered around the perimeter of the small circle. The coloured area of the large circle was lined up with the die cut on the card front. This panel was then lined up with the bottom panel. The foam squares on the small circle adhere the spinner to the bottom panel. The top panel was die cut with a circle die (half way on the right hand side edge) to reveal the spinner.

The pie crust die cuts were assembled and adhered around the die cut opening. The panel was finished off with a gradient inked happy birthday from Spellbinders’ Layered Mix and Match Sentiments and Delicious Decorations. The panel was adhered to an A2 sized card base matted with black card stock. Red confetti with Nuvo Crystal Drops Morning Dew were placed throughout the background. White gel pen highlights were applied to the hearts and cherries. The flower centres were finished off with prills.
